About Andrea
Andrea is a trained foreclosure facilitator, elder mediator, registered civil and domestic mediator. She often teaches, speaks, and writes on topics of mediation. She has argued cases before the Indiana Supreme Court dealing with the confidentiality of Mediation.
Andrea was also chosen and appointed to, along with a group of other mediator volunteers on the Indiana ADR Task Force, work on, draft, edit and propose Indiana ADR rules revisions. This will be the first review of the ADR Rules in Indiana for twenty (20) years.
Andrea Ciobanu has been elected by fellow mediators to serve as the Chair of the Indiana State Bar Association Alternative Dispute Resolution Section. Andrea brings a valuable perspective in crafting mutually agreeable settlements as she continues to litigate personal injury, medical malpractice, civil rights, and family and domestic relations and other civil cases. As the state bar ADR Chair, Andrea is working with her fellow ADR Executive Board and ADR members, among other initiatives, on a Statewide Mediation Week, an E-Discovery Mediation Pilot Project, a Disaster Relief Mediation Training and Pilot Project, and a Victim Offenders Mediation Pilot Project.
Andrea enjoys working to resolve litigation and domestic relations cases through the unique and confidential process of mediation.
